Description:

The primary focus of this position is to assist students, faculty, staff and the general public with questions and concerns as well as some light custodial duties.

  • Greet visitors in the office.
  • Answers telephone and e-mail requests.
  • Completes some departmental word processing, and schedules through computer programs.
  • Works with SUU scheduling department leaders in maintaining accuracy with monthly calendar.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Custodian Responsibilities include:

  • Vacuuming.
  • Wiping tables, chairs and desks.
  • Dusting and cleaning doors / windows of entryways.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a wide array of interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to deal with the public and college-age students in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using, and knowledge of Microsoft suite, Google suite and the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Must be proficient in spelling and grammatical use of the English language.
  • Mature, pleasing personality, and the ability to work cooperatively with students, campus personnel, and the public.
  • Dependable, punctual, professional in appearance and ability to communicate are necessary attributes.
  • Knowledge and experience with typing, record keeping and general administrative practices and procedures (will be) helpful.
